Quarterbacks and big club interest? Naples has a plan to keep its jewel
Napoli is on a rampage this season. They are enjoying a huge lead in the league and they are certainly not going to end up in the Champions League either. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is a big credit for the team’s great form, and there is a lot of interest in him. But the club is already planning how to keep him.
Napoli is on a rampage this season. They are enjoying a huge lead in the league and they are certainly not going to end up in the Champions League either. Much of the credit for the team’s great form goes to Khvich Kvaratskhelia, who is in great demand. But the club is already planning how to keep him.
He arrived in the summer as a bland reinforcement. A talent who cost only 10 million euros. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia arrived in Naples from Georgian side Dinamo Batumi. And now he’s one of the most dangerous players in Europe.
And also the most wanted. The 22-year-old winger has already scored 12 competitive goals this season and added 14 assists. 24 games were enough for him to do it. In addition to great performances, he shows great character, as he has no problem passing to an even better teammate in 100% chances.
Kvaratskhelia won’t be cheap if he leaves Napoli, though. After all, just since the summer his value has risen to six times what he came in for under Vesuvius. Transfermarkt values him at 60 million euros.
This figure certainly does not have to be final, on the contrary. Moreover, Napoli have shown in the past that they can keep their key players who are in demand. A great example is the already former captain Kalidou Koulibaly.
In addition to Kvaratskhelia, there is also interest in his attacking partner Victor Osimhen, and the Partenopei want both men in the team for the future. Meanwhile, Real Madrid’s interest in the Georgian was recently reported.
So how does Napoli want to keep him? With a new contract, of course. The current one expires in the summer of 2027, and Kvaratskhelia currently earns around €1.1 million per season.
The new contract, if Kvaratskhelia signs it, will increase his earnings to 3 million, plus various bonuses. In addition, Napoli would like to extend the contract for another year.
