Punishment for criticism. This is how Ronaldo completely ignored his critic Carragher on TV
Liverpool icon and current Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher likes to poke fun at everything he doesn’t like. And that’s why he’s long been a critic of Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese knows all too well, which is why he completely ignored Carragher during the pre-match meeting with Liverpool.
Carragher sometimes looks like Ronaldo has done something to him. In fact, he criticises him almost fanatically all the time, even though he scored goals last year, constantly questioning his contribution to Manchester United after every game.
He didn’t let the thread dry on him, it got to the point where he even had an argument with Roy Keane, the Manchester United legend, in the studio at the end of the season. In fact, Carragher said that Ronaldo’s arrival was a joke.
And in the new season, he continues to bash Ronaldo and constantly calls for him to be benched. That is indeed what happened, Erik ten Hag left the Portuguese only among the substitutes against Liverpool.
And Ronaldo seems to have heard all this criticism well. Indeed, before the game Sky Sports had a studio right by the bench at Old Trafford, where David Jones asked guests Roy Keane, Jamie Carragher and Garry Neville the all-important questions.
Suddenly, a warming up Ronaldo stopped by and the audience was treated to a hilarious scene. Carragher first turned to Ronaldo to shake his hand, but the Portuguese completely ignored him.
He greeted Neville in a friendly manner and passed Carragher, who he again completely ignored, and headed for Keane, with whom he hugged and exchanged a few words.
