Global sports brand PUMA has partnered with one of the most talented Czech motorcycle racers of the new generation, Oliver König. Last year, Oliver became the only Czech representative and the youngest rider in the starting field of the World Superbike Championship. He is also the first rider ever to make the step up to this royal cubature from the supersport 300 class.

I am very happy for the opportunity to join the many great athletes in the PUMA family. I know that the brand is well established in motorsport and can be seen a lot in F1, for example. I’m looking forward to using the full range of the brand not only in training in the gym or outdoors, but also in everyday wear,” said Oliver König after signing the contract.

“Oliver is really pleased to become a PUMA brand ambassador and is looking forward to a long-term collaboration. On the track he is also moving at speeds in excess of 300 km/h, so he needs to be perfectly prepared and needs a quality partner whose equipment will provide him with the conditions for perfect training. Despite his younger age, he is an absolute professional and therefore believes that the cooperation will be beneficial for both parties,” added Miloš Čihák, CEO of Movisio Racing and the driver’s manager.

The twenty-one year old promising Czech racer had his first motocross race at the age of seven and at the age of only eleven he won the title of domestic road circuit champion in the Junior Minibike B category.

In 2015 he became European Champion in the Stock 250 championship and since 2019 he has raced in the Supersport 300 championship, the lowest category of the World Superbike Championship.

In December 2021, based on his remarkable performance in the elite company of the highest class superbike race in Indonesia, Oliver was chosen by the Spanish Orelac Kawasaki stable as the new and only rider for their team.

PUMA is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year and marking the occasion with a significant footprint in the motorsport industry. From the very beginning, it has been a driving force of innovation, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in terms of performance, functionality and design of clothing for both car and motorcycle racers.

We have worked with the biggest names in motorsport and teams such as Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1, Scuderia Ferrari and Red Bull Racing,” said Jan Sochor, Puma’s Managing Director for Central and Eastern Europe.

“We are therefore very pleased to now include Oliver König among our partners. And as a new hope for Czech motorsport, we wish him every success on and off the track.”
