PUMA launches two new products: the ULTRA ULTIMATE and the FUTURE 1.4 Fastest edition
Global sports brand PUMA has introduced a new generation of its core ULTRA and FUTURE kicks. In the case of the ULTRA, it is the ULTIMATE edition, which is the first sneaker ever to use its exclusive ULTRAWEAVE technology. The FUTURE series is the 1.4 Fastest edition. Both models are available in both unisex and special women’s versions.
The new generation of the ULTRA model enables truly high speed changes thanks to the combination of a new ultra-lightweight woven upper and a modified sole. ULTRAWEAVE technology results in PUMA’s lightest and most durable material that virtually defies gravity.
For the new kicks, PUMA has then reinforced it even further with the all-new PWRPRINT technology, which ensures perfect stability, providing the feet with reliable support and stiffening them for a fast straight-line launch.
“The new upper is made from PUMA’s lightest functional material to date and contains at least 20% recycled material, because we are also constantly striving for a sustainable future in our sneakers. Everything about the new ULTRA kicks shows speed, and for the first time we’ve added the iconic Formstrip leather strap to the ULTRA, but in a modern interpretation,” says Peter Stappen, Senior Product Line Manager for PUMA Teamsport Footwear.
Another first for the new kicks is the 5-D PWRPRINT technology that PUMA has applied in key strategic zones of the shoe. This multi-beneficial innovation provides micro-level reinforcement that results in optimal fixation and support for the foot, without compromising the lightweight nature of the kicks.
The ULTRAs also feature a completely new outsole based on the SPEEDPLATE midsole made of two materials with different densities, which brings a whole new feeling of traction. The result is faster midsole and toe box reaction time, more traction and better energy transfer when accelerating from 0 to a lot.
The FUTURE 1.4 Fastest edition, then, is all about future innovation and pushing the boundaries of technology for players who want to conceptualize the game to their own liking and skill level. With the FUTURE soccer cleats, players no longer have to tighten the laces to perfectly secure their feet in them.
The second generation of FUZIONFIT+ technology allows for a perfect fit to the shape of the foot, providing a balanced combination of support and flexibility in each of the key zones. Adaptive compression technology allows for a perfect fit to the contours of each foot. In conjunction with the lightweight Nano Grip insole layer, it prevents the foot from slipping inside the shoe, allowing all the energy to be used for fast movement in different directions without loss.
FUTURE cleats feature Advanced Creator zones with increased grip for the ball and a softer area in the forefoot, which is essential for optimal control and touch when dribbling, passing and finishing. The mesh material in the forefoot thins the layer between the foot and the ball to increase touch sensitivity.
Both new models come in a unisex version and a special version for women. In the women’s version, some dimensions such as the volume and height of the instep have been adjusted, so the cleats are designed specifically for women’s feet.
The models are available in 11Teamsports, Sportfotball, Lionsport, A3Sport and Sportisi stores and e-shops, as well as on PUMA.com.
