She was in Germany, participated in Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournaments and took home three medals. And in the process, she baked her way back to the top of the world. Lucie Pudilova will fight in the UFC again. When will she fight and how long is her contract?
Lucie Pudilova fought in the UFC from 2017 to 2020. In that time, she managed seven fights with an unfavorable record of 2::5. However, she has fought, for example, Antonina Shevchenko or Liz Carmouche, so no croppers.
After finishing in the world’s best organization, she signed up with Oktagon, the Czechoslovak number one, where she entered with clear goals. To prove herself to the home fans, win as many fights as possible and get back among the elite.
And that’s exactly what she did. Along with some extra stuff. For example, a change of coach, as Pudilova is now trained by the famous John Kavanagh, who manages Conor McGregor.
“I was surprised. I was at a BJJ fight in Germany and I was signing a contract at the time. I got it for four fights and everything is official. I’ve got another fight confirmed, including my opponent,” the Czech fighter let slip on her Instagram live stream.
The bout is expected to take place in the summer. Pudilova will be heading to Ireland in just a week to begin preparation for her UFC headlining bout. “I would like to work my way into the top 10 as soon as possible,” she revealed.
Pudilova also revealed that Octagon was very happy to have her back among the world’s top fighters. She thanked the organization for everything it has done for her.
