The third round of the Champions League brings an interesting spectacle in Group A. Paris Saint-Germain take on Leipzig, who are probably the last chance to fight for promotion from the group.

Neither team has started the Champions League group as they would have liked. PSG only drew with Brugge 1-1, Leipzig lost to both Manchester City and Brugge.

The Parisians at least made amends for their hesitation with a win over Manchester City, but Leipzig are standing on the precipice. If they cannot beat their opponents, they will be 99% out of the relegation playoffs.

A small boost for the Germans came before the game. PSG have lost one of their biggest stars, Neymar will not start the game due to injury. On the other hand, Leipzig also cannot count on their key player, with Spaniard Dani Olmo out due to a torn muscle.

So we won’t see the MMN trio (Messi, Mbappé, Neymar) on the pitch, and since Di María won’t be available, French daily Le Parisien expects Julian Draxler to play on the left wing. Donnarumma should be preferred to Navas in goal.

“The situation in our group is simple. We need points. Paris is a great team with perhaps the best attack in the world,” Leipzig coach Jesse Marsch said at a press conference.

Leipzig will rely on Christopher Nkunku. The French footballer, who just joined Leipzig from PSG, is in the form of his life. He has already scored 9 goals and added an assist in 11 competitive games this season.

The duel will decide how the situation of both teams in the group will continue to develop. Can PSG secure first place ahead of the Citizens? Will Leipzig still have a chance to qualify? We will find out on Tuesday at 21:00.
