The Neymar – Mbappé – Messi trident is PSG’s main weapon. But it seems that the Parisian colossus will lose one part of its offensive.
Kylian Mbappé was injured on February 1 and was originally supposed to be out for three weeks, which would have meant he would have missed the first leg of the eight-final match. But fans were given new hope when Mbappé joined training with the team on Monday and was included in the nomination for the match against Bayern.
But according to most French newspapers, including the biggest L’Equipe, Mbappé will not be in the starting line-up. The prestigious slice put Messi and Neymar at the tip of the expected starting line-up.
At the same time, it has included only 16-year-old Warren Zaïre-Emery, PSG’s new sensation, in the line-up. The French midfielder started lightly in the first team in the autumn, but after the World Cup he started to get much more space.
At the beginning of February he scored for PSG for the first time against Montpellier, and at the weekend against Monaco he was in the starting line-up for the second time and scored again.
Expected line-up according to L’Equipe
Donnarumma
Hakimi – Ramos – Marquinhos – Nuno Mendes
Zaïre-Emery – Verratti – Danilo – Soler
Messi – Neymar
There shouldn’t be any big surprises in Bayern. The team is fairly stable and there are no big question marks.
Sommer
Cancelo – Upamecano – De Ligt – Davies
Kimmich – Musiala
Sané – Muller – Coman
Choupo-Moting
Even Bayern have their star on the sidelines. Sadio Mané has been missing since November and is still unavailable. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, who has 13 goals this season, will start at the top.
