The saga of Kylian Mbappé seems to be over, at least for this transfer window, and the French striker is back to showing his skills on the pitch. He has already secured 4 points for PSG and is proving to everyone what a difference maker he is for the Parisian outfit.

The possible transfer of Mbappé to Real Madrid has been dragging on for three years now. This summer, everything seemed to finally be on track. In fact, the player sent a letter to the management that he will not extend his contract expiring next summer.

In response, PSG gave him an ultimatum that he would either extend his contract or transfer. He was even dropped from the squad, didn’t go on tour and missed the first league game. But after the draw, the management took back the decision, realised they needed Mbappé and the player joined the team.

It seemed that Real Madrid, who in addition do not have a typical nine after Karim Benzema’s departure, would finally buy Mbappé. But as it seems, the big transfer will not take place. “I can 100% rule out the possibility of any more signings in the summer. Our squad is closed,” said Carlo Ancelotti at the press conference before the match against Celta Vigo, apparently closing the topic for now.

the 24-year-old Paris native then started his first league game of the season on 19 August when coach Luis Enrique sent him on in the second half. Mbappé rewarded the Spanish coach with a goal, but it was not enough to win the game and the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Mbappé, like Ousmane Dembélé, was already in the starting line-up for Saturday’s game against Lens and it showed. One of the best footballers of today scored two goals for PSG, who eventually won 3:1.

The author of 213 goals in the PSG jersey can now look forward to a big game when the Parisians visit Lyon in the next league round, who still don’t have a point after the opening two.

On Sunday night, however, Olympique head to Nice, with whom they will be looking to score for the first time this season.
