Paris Saint-Germain lost 1:3 to Monaco in their Saturday match, their second loss in a row. After yet another bad result, Brazilian star Neymar did not spare any words, arguing with the club’s sporting director and accusing his teammates of poor performance.

After Wednesday’s 1:2 defeat to Olympique Marseille, when PSG was eliminated in the Coupe de France eighth round, the Parisian team suffered another loss.

This time, in the 23rd round of Ligue 1, they lost 1:3 to Monaco, with the only goal scored by the 16-year-old Warren Zaire-Emery.

It should be noted that Christophe Galtier’s charges got all three goals in the first half when Aleksandr Golovin and Wissam Ben Yedder scored for the home side.

The club from the French capital was unable to score any more goals for the rest of the match. And objectively speaking, they didn’t have much to play with. In the whole second half, the visitors had only one shot towards the opponent’s goal, while Monaco had eight shot attempts.

Even during the match, the star Neymar could not keep his nerves at bay, accusing his teammates Vitinha and Hugo Ekitike of poor performance.

Specifically, Neymar accused them of not passing into the right areas and making poor decisions in the front of the net.

After the match, he and his compatriot Marquinhos had an argument with the club’s sporting director Luis Campos. The latter, according to L’Equipe, reprimanded his team for their poor attitude on the pitch, something both experienced Brazilians did not like.

In short – PSG is definitely not used to losing and poor game performance, which is documented by the players’ conflicts not only during the match.

Without Mbappé and Messi

It should be noted, due to a thigh and hamstring injury, respectively, both Kylian Mbappé and Lionel Messi were missing from the starting line-up. And based on the latest information, should he return for the Champions League duel against Bayern, Mbappé’s nomination will almost certainly miss.

As far as the French top flight itself is concerned, PSG are still in first place with 54 points despite losing to Monaco, five points ahead of Olympique Marseille.
