PSG have already scouted a replacement for Mbappé if he leaves for Real! The French giant is keeping an eye on the AC Milan star

The transfer saga surrounding Kylian Mbappé has been dragging on for an incredibly long time. However, if the French international does indeed leave PSG and head to Real Madrid, the Ligue 1 giant has already eyed a replacement. That is one of AC Milan’s biggest stars.

Will Mbappé leave PSG?

There are already so many reports regarding Mbappé that it is hard for fans to know what is true or not regarding his future. And with his previous statements, the star forward hasn’t helped.

He has almost confirmed his departure from PSG to Real once. After which he stated that he remains loyal to the Ligue 1 side. In addition, he has hinted at his possible departure from Europe. Flirted with Liverpool or said that his dream is to play for Real Madrid.

With a bit of exaggeration, every other piece of information about this transfer saga could be included in the programme “Believe it, don’t believe it”. Needless to say, the 25-year-old has a decision to make soon. His contract at PSG runs only until the end of June this year.

Mbappé has the option to extend at the Parc des Princes for another 12 months. Or accept an offer of a long-term contract at Real Madrid. Los Blancos would understandably like to bring him in as a free agent.

Either way, the fact is that if Mbappé does indeed leave PSG one day, the French giant has a replacement in sight. However, this is not a surprising name. As the Parisians were already tracking the player in the last summer transfer window.

Leão on PSG’s radar

According to the French media, PSG are once again monitoring AC Milan footballer Rafael Leão. However, the problem for the Parisians is that the 24-year-old winger signed a contract extension at the San Siro last summer.

Leão is therefore contractually tied to AC Milan until 2028. The contract also includes an exit clause set at a rather astronomical amount. That is, 175 million euros.

Thus, even though there would be considerable salary space for Leão at PSG after Mbappé’s departure, the club from the French capital is unlikely to reach the full amount of that clause. The Parisians are not the only suitors either, with the 24-year-old Portuguese also being pursued by Newcastle.
