PSG has run out of patience with Neymar! The management is said to be ready to sell him in the summer, the explosion against Monaco was the last straw
Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly run out of patience with Neymar, with the club’s management opting to sell him in the summer. The imaginary chalice overflowed just after the match at Monaco, where the Parisian team lost 1:3 and the Brazilian international quarreled not only with his teammates, but also with the sporting director Luis Campos.
Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly run out of patience with Neymar, with the club’s management opting to sell him in the summer. The imaginary chalice overflowed just after the match at Monaco, where the Parisian team lost 1: 3, and the Brazilian international quarreled not only with his teammates, but also with the sporting director Luis Campos.
The Parisians suffered another defeat in Saturday’s match of the 23rd round of Ligue 1, when they lost to Monaco 1: 3. It is the second loss in a row for PSG, who were eliminated in the Coupe de France semi-finals on Wednesday 8 February when they lost to Olympique Marseille.
PSG’s only goal was scored by 16-year-old Warren Zaire-Emery. Notably, Christophe Galtier’s charges got all three goals in the first half, as Aleksandr Golovin and Wissam Ben Yedder scored for the home side.
The club from the French capital then not only failed to score for the rest of the game, but also put in a dismal performance. The statistics of the second half also testify to that, as Monaco registered eight shooting attempts, PSG only one.
Already during the match, Neymar argued with his teammates on the pitch, specifically accusing Vitinha and Hugo Ekitike of poor game performance.
And his rampage continued after the match, when he and his compatriot Marquinhos had an argument with the club’s sporting director Luis Campos.
The latter, according to L’Equipe, reprimanded his team for their poor attitude on the pitch, something the two experienced Brazilians did not like.
Will Neymar leave in the summer?
And it is on the basis of this experience that the club’s management has reportedly run out of patience with Neymar. At the same time, the Foot Mercato server has come out with the information that PSG is ready to sell the Brazilian star in the summer.
PSG officials came to this decision based on Neymar’s inconsistent performances since his return from the World Cup in Qatar. His latest nervous breakdown against Monaco was reportedly just the icing on the cake.
It should be noted, according to Transfermarkt , the left winger is under contract in Paris until 30 June 2025, with his market value currently standing at €75 million. However, Neymar has previously revealed that he is happy at the club and does not want to transfer.
The fact remains, however, that he has quite a stormy relationship with PSG’s other attacking star Kylian Mbappé. And after Monaco, there are clearly more names to be added to that list.
Interest from the Premier League
Football website Goal then suggests where the Mogi das Cruzes native could actually be heading. The Brazil star has been linked with interest from clubs in England in the past. Specifically, it was Chelsea and Manchester United.
However, PSG have not received any official offer so far. In any case, Christophe Galtier’s charges must focus on Tuesday’s clash with Bayern in the Champions League eight-finals.
As far as the French top flight is concerned, PSG are still in first place with 54 points despite losing to Monaco, five points ahead of Olympique Marseille.
