French Ligue 1 has a big night ahead of it. Olympique Marseille and PSG will face off in the big derby known as Le Classique. While the hosts are trying to make amends for a botched start to the season and are now tightening the ranks to guarantee European Cups, the visitors are going for another title.

The Parisians are currently ten points ahead of second-placed Monaco at the top of the table, with a game in hand against Marseille. They have lost only once this season and a big part of that is none other than Kylian Mbappé, the competition’s top scorer with 24 goals.

However, it’s worth noting that the Parisian club have a pretty decent chance of challenging for the Champions League trophy this season. In the quarter-finals, however, it must beat Barcelona, and if it advances, the winner of the Atlético Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund double-header will face it in the semi-finals.

In the final, PSG could face Manchester City, Real Madrid, Arsenal or Bayern Munich. If that were to happen, it might be interesting to see how Kylian Mbappé decides his future.

Will Kylian Mbappé stay in Paris?

The world media has been clear for some time now. Kylian Mbappé will apparently leave PSG for free in the summer. But the French gem himself says that if he leaves the club, he will do so as a man. As soon as he decides, he will announce it himself.

In France, they understandably fear that Sunday’s Le Classique is his last. But coach Luis Enrique responded: ‘Who said that? I still hold out hope that Kylian will stay at PSG. He hasn’t announced anything yet, he can still change his mind, right?”

“Imagine if we win four trophies and Mbappé decides to stay at PSG. Why couldn’t that happen?” expressed the Spanish coach in an interview with Prime Video.

It’s no secret that Real Madrid are the biggest favourites to win the star of the Parisian club. The boss of rival Barcelona, Joan Laporta, has also commented on the possible transfer and believes that Mbappé can upset the cabin at the Madrid club.
