Procházka trains in the USA in a famous gym with the best heavyweight in the world! Which potential challenger did he meet there?

Before his title rematch with Glover Teixeira, Jirka Procházka flew to the USA, where he trains in a star-studded gym with the UFC heavyweight champion. Who else did he meet there and why the meeting might not have been pleasant at all?

UFC champion Jirka Prochazka is already in the U.S

In three weeks time will stop for Czech mixed martial arts fans. Jirka Procházka continues to build the history of Czech MMA and he will want to make his spectacular sporting career even better.

In Las Vegas, he will appear in the main event of the gala of the most famous MMA organization in the world, UFC 282. In his first title defense within the organization, he will face UFC veteran Glover Teixeira in a rematch from this June.

Jirka is now in the United States to acclimate to the conditions there. He has been fulfilling media duties in New York, but has returned to training these days. He is now at the site of the battlefield where the expected tournament will take place.

He’s training alongside some of the UFC’s biggest stars at the world-famous gym

Specifically, he’s headed to the famous Xtreme Couture MMA gym in Las Vegas. The latter is known for being spread in various cities across the US and Canada and is where the biggest stars of the UFC train.

The world-class facilities were shared by Prochazka’s coach Jaroslav Hovězák on his Instagram. He flew overseas alongside the Czech champion. Coach Martin Karaivanov will complete the trio just before the tournament.

Gym regularly releases photos from training days on his social media and we can see that Procházka is not getting anything for free. The footage from his sparring session with the UFC’s scariest man, heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, gives fans of the Moravian samurai goosebumps.

Is he training with his potential challenger?

In the aforementioned footage, we can see the biggest stars of overseas organizations in addition to training with the world heavyweight champion. But one name stands out among them and that is Magomed Ankalaev.

He, like Prochazka, is in Las Vegas preparing for his fight with Jan Blachowicz, and the winner of that bout has a clear shot at the welterweight title. How is the training with his potential challenger?

“It’s a bit strange, but I’m training with my sparring partners and letting him do his thing,” Prochazka said right in the gym during an interview with The Schmo.
