Jiri Prochazka did it and the Czech Republic has its UFC champion! The victory is also sweet thanks to the earnings, which were significantly increased by the bonuses. How much money will the popular fighter receive?

Jiri Prochazka is the champion of the most prestigious MMA organization UFC, in the title fight he defeated Glover Teixeira with half a minute left in the fight on a rear naked choke.

“It was a terrible performance on my part. Honestly. You saw the fight, some moments I just survived, but my plan, my attitude in life is to dominate, not survive. I have to be a hunter, I have to improve that for next time,” said Prochazka at the press conference.

But the win counts, and now speculation is starting about who he will face next. A fight with Poland’s Jan Blachowicz seems the most likely, or a rematch with Teixeira, who is very much in contention.

Prochazka has made quite a nice amount of money from the fight. For the fight he was supposed to get 350 thousand dollars, which is 8.2 million crowns! But that’s not all.

He got another $100,000 (about 2,350,000 crowns) for the win and $32,000 for media duties, which is another 750,000 crowns.

For the match of the evening he received 50 thousand dollars, which is just under a million and 200 thousand crowns more. That’s certainly a nice bonus to add to the victory celebration.

And that’s not all. He also received a fan bonus, with $60k in bitcoin to be split between the three fighters. Walk thus received an additional $20k in the cryptocurrency.

In total, this amounts to almost 13 million crowns, but taxes and preparation will significantly reduce the net earnings. Still, it’s good money.
