Příbram is experiencing a horror entry into the new season. After the fifth round it is only a point above the relegation zone

It was supposed to be only a short chapter in the second highest competition for the footballers from Pribram. Before the season, the club’s management was counting on an immediate return to the first league, but the reality is quite the opposite after the start of the season.

After the fifth round, Příbram is in fourteenth place in the second league and only one point above the relegation zone. The club cannot be satisfied with the current situation.

Příbram managed to beat Prostějov in the opening round, but after that came four league games without a win. Příbram lost to Tábor, Žižkov, Sparta reserve and drew with Varnsdorf.

The last defeat came this Saturday against the B team of Sparta. Příbram lost 2:0 on their home ground and extended their unlucky streak to four games without a win.

Opava can’t talk about a good start either. Opava also has five games under its belt and has only one point more than Příbram. Expectations were completely different here as well.

But another ex-league team from Brno has more pleasant worries. Zbrojovka is in third place after an incomplete fifth round and can improve its position in Sunday’s derby with Lišná.
