During the summer break, some Czech football clubs changed their names or logos. After announcing their new name FC Trinity Zlín a month ago, the Ševci also unveiled an amended emblem on Friday. Prague Slavia also modernised its graphic identity. Now, second league club Příbram has also introduced a new look.
Since 2008, the team from Central Bohemia was known by a name that did not include the title sponsor. After the era of FK Marilla Příbram came a 14-year period when Jaroslav Starka’s club identified itself as 1. FK Příbram.
However, that is now over. Viagem, a real estate company, is joining the organisation as a partner. At the same time, it becomes part of the name of the former participant of the highest competition in the country.
Litavka will receive funding from a relatively young company, founded in 2016 by Přemysl Kubáň. FK Viagem Příbram will continue to use virtually the same logo, with only an update to the name.
And how did the club director Jan Starka comment on the information? “We are happy that we have managed to establish such a strong partnership, especially in these difficult times.
We appreciate all the more the approach and the speed of the negotiations from Mr Kuban and his company VIAGEM, which has confidence in the work we are doing here and thus becomes a new important part of the club,” said the son of the long-time boss of Pribram football to the official club website.
Last season was not a good one for the Central Bohemians, who finished 13th in the table, seven points above the relegation zone.
Tomáš Zápotočný’s charges will play the upcoming season of the Fortuna National League on 30 July at home against Tábor. The team, by the way, will also operate under a new name, which is FC Silon Táborsko.
