Premier League table after round 3: Nice surprises from Leeds and Brighton, big clubs at the tail of the table

The Premier League table after three rounds is very interesting. While Leeds or Brighton players can rejoice from a great start, there is more embarrassment in Manchester or Liverpool. Not to mention West Ham, who are the only team that hasn’t got a point yet.

Arsenal are leading the way

Just looking at the leading team in the table is quite surprising. Arsenal have finally found their form and are quite deservedly leading the entire Premier League so far. It should be noted that the London club had quite a favorable lot, however, with all the opponents he convincingly coped, including the erratic Leicester.

While we have become accustomed to Manchester City and Tottenham regularly fighting for places guaranteeing participation in the Champions League, Leeds and Brighton do not usually appear in these places. Therefore, the great start of these teams is a pleasant surprise in the new edition of the English top flight.

Moreover, if we look at Leeds and Brighton’s opponents, we can see that they were not expecting anything easy. Brighton, in particular, beat West Ham and Manchester United, then shared the points with improving Newcastle.

A bad start for the big clubs

The pre-season ambitions of Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool certainly revolved around the title fight. However, after the first rounds, these clubs have rather worried themselves and it will be difficult for them to pull back on the leading teams.

Even at the very bottom of the table, there are clubs that are used to fighting at the top. In the relegation places, for example, there is Leicester, who only picked up one point from their draw with Brentford.

West Ham’s position is a chapter in itself. The London club has yet to pick up a point and has not scored a goal. After losses to City, Nottingham and Brighton, it is still searching for form. But he will have to find it very quickly to avoid missing out on the rest of the table.
