Premier League goal of the season? A beautiful scissor kick decided the game for Aston Villa
The second round of the Premier League offered perhaps the prettiest goal of the entire season. After fifteen games played, a rather bold statement, on the other hand Danny Ings’ wonderful scissors kick decided the game against Newcastle.

It was a shock when all of a sudden pictures of Danny Ings in an Aston Villa jersey started appearing on the internet.
There was a lot of speculation about his departure from Southampton, but not in connection with Aston Villa.
Ings obviously fit into the Birmingham team quickly, as he appeared in the starting eleven in the first league game against Watford. Part of the reason for this was the fact that rival Ollie Watkins is injured.
The representative striker made his league debut with a goal, but it didn’t make any difference. In the seventh minute of the set-up at Watford’s ground, he reduced the score to 2: 3 from a penalty.
A week later in a home game, Ings played a much more important role. Just when it seemed that it would go to the booths goalless, the skilful hitman leaned into the ball with his scissors and gave Freddie Woodman no chance.
Villans were helped a lot by this goal, playing with more composure in the second half and adding a much needed insurance goal from the penalty. In the end, they beat Newcastle 2-0 to take their first league points of the year.
