He’s Brazilian, he used to play football, he even made it to Chelsea in London, but in the end he chose a different path. Ricardo Prasel is writing a very interesting life and especially sporting story and on Saturday he may reach one of the most important milestones.
The name Ricardo Prasel doesn’t ring a bell? Then know that he is a former football goalkeeper. He joined Chelsea in 2009. However, he never made a goal in the Premier League and for the Blues’ A-team overall.
Despite this, the Brazilian has been in regular contact with Petr Cech. In fact, he learned the goalkeeping craft from the Czech football legend throughout his year of engagement at Stamford Bridge. In 2011, however, he quit football and embarked on a different career.
He started to focus on combat sports, he has already had 16 professional matches with a record of 13 wins and 3 losses. He even already had a chance to fight for a contract in the UFC when he appeared on Dana White’s Contender Series show in 2019.
Prasel has otherwise wrestled in organizations like Rizin and UAE Warriors. But now he’s in KSW, where he’s had two fights. Both this year, he won both. And now he’s about to get a highlight. On Saturday, he’ll fight for the heavyweight title.
The Brazilian will have a tough fight with the English KSW champion Philip De Fries. The latter is now riding a wave of nine wins in a row, 7 of which he has already collected under the cover of the Polish organization.
