Porto host AC Milan in the third round of the Champions League group stage. This match could be goal-rich with both teams scoring a lot of goals. What to expect from the match?
Porto host AC Milan in the third round of the Champions League group stage. This match could be goal-rich with both teams scoring a lot of goals. What to expect from the match?
Porto is not managing the group of death ideally so far, but one point from the matches against Atlético Madrid and Liverpool cannot be considered a complete flop. Thus, the Portuguese team is three points behind the second place.
AC entered the Champions League season even worse, after losing at Anfield they were not even able to beat Atlético with a goal from the seventh minute of the setup. If it wants to qualify, it must finally win on Tuesday.
The home side’s mainstay is the skilful Colombian winger Luis Diaz, who has already scored six goals and assisted one for Porto this season. Iranian striker Mehdi Taremi has scored five times and assisted once.
Rafael Leao is the visitors’ top scorer so far. He had a hand in six goals (4+2) and returns to his native Portugal in excellent form. Offensive all-rounder Brahim Diaz boasts the same record.
Porto have been particularly successful in attack, scoring at least two goals in four of their last five games. This does not play into the hands of Milan, who have scored four times in their last four games.
Given AC’s wide squad and the form of Rafael Leo, I recommend betting on the visitors not to lose.
