Pogon Szczecin vs. Brondby Copenhagen: Preview and betting tips
The second preliminary round of the European Conference League will not offer many attractive matches, the exception being the clash between Pogon Szczecin and Brondby Copenhagen. What to expect from the match and what to bet on?
The second preliminary round of the European Conference League will not offer many attractive matches, the exception being the clash between Pogon Szczecin and Brondby Copenhagen. What to expect from the match and what to bet on?
Pogon could not have asked for a better start to the season. In the first round of qualification, it defeated Iceland’s KR Rejkjavik 4:2, and in the opening league match of the season it managed to turn around the unfavourable situation with Widzew from 0:1 to 2:1.
Brondby also entered the new league season victorious, struggling at home for a long time, but eventually defeated Aarhus 1:0 with a second half goal. They confirmed their good form by losing only one of their last five games.
The home team is based on goals from offensive midfielder Luka Zahovic, the Slovenian international scored 11 times and assisted twice last season. Experienced Polish winger Kamil Grosicki added nine goals and three assists.
The American midfielder Christian Cappis, author of six goals and five assists, is worth mentioning. Mathias Kvistgaarden, the talented Danish U21 international, split the net five times from the top of the attack.
Pogon has been doing well defensively since training, getting only three goals in the last four games.
Brondby are pretty similar, scoring more than once in only one of their last five games, even keeping three nil.
Taking into account the experience of similar matches, the form of the defence and nice odds, I recommend betting on the visitors not to lose.
