Will Manchester United fans finally see some change? Maybe so, Ten Hag is a coach who knows what he wants and goes hard for what he wants. So, although it is currently very hard to judge whether this could be some kind of key point on the road to return to the elite, the fact remains that it is the Dutch coach who will fulfill what the Red Devils urgently need already.
However, according to the latest information, Ten Hag is planning to make significant changes in the United cabin.
It must be noted, Ten Hag is expected to receive a very large sum for the summer transfer window, which is even expected to surpass the £200 million mark!
So how extensive are the changes Manchester United are going to have to make? Players who are coming to the end of their contracts are very likely to leave the club in the summer. We are currently talking about five players, led by Paul Pogba, who is perhaps the closest to leaving of all.
Nemanja Matic has also confirmed his departure. Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata and Edinson Cavani are among those remaining. However, these names may not be the end of the list.
Again, Ten Hag mentioned right away a number of players who are entering the final years of their contracts and the question is who will be offered a new contract by the club’s management and who will not.
So what are these names? Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw, Fred, Diogo Dalot, Phil Jones and David de Gea – these are the players who have question marks hanging over them according to Transfermarkt.
In the above Twitter post, you can see the list of Manchester United’s most expensive footballers.
The Red Devils currently have the seventh most expensive, and therefore most valuable, squad in the world. It should be noted, unfortunately, the funds spent in the past years do not correspond at all with Manchester United’s position in the table of the English top competition.
