Pochettino’s tenure at PSG won’t be long, says Cassano, who has heard unkind things about the Argentine
PSG are having a great season so far and Mauricio Pochettino can be relatively calm. Antonio Cassano, however, is not of a similar opinion and has not heard nice things about the Argentine.
PSG are having a great season so far and Mauricio Pochettino can be relatively calm. Antonio Cassano, however, is not of a similar opinion and has not heard nice things about the Argentine.
The Parisian side managed to win all 8 of their opening league games, after which they dropped points for the first time in their last game against Rennes, losing 2-0 on their soil.
With a 6 point lead, they are leading Ligue 1 and although they are often blamed for their play, which according to many is not as dominant as it should be for such a team, we must take into account the fact that many new faces have arrived and it will take some time for everything to settle down.
In the Champions League so far, PSG are enjoying 4 points, having beaten Manchester City after a draw with Club Brugge, demonstrating their strength to all.
Everything seems to be going as it should. Only Cassano has heard that Pochettino is not working enough with the team on tactics and has big gaps in the leadership of the stars he has in the team.
“I’ve heard really bad things about Pochettino. He’s a great guy, but as a coach he hasn’t spent a minute with the team on tactics and the players are starting to ask him about them. He’s supposedly asking players for advice on how to play.
I can’t believe it. Pochettino’s engagement at PSG will not last long,” the former Italian striker is clear on the subject in an interview with BoboTV.
Coaching PSG now is similar to leading Real Madrid. And as you all know, many coaches have been burned in this position! That’s also why the 39-year-old Italian sees Zinedine Zidane on the bench of France’s biggest team for the foreseeable future, and he certainly has no problems coaching winners.
The two-time best coach in the world has managed to win the Champions League three times in a row with the White Ballet and with PSG’s owners coveting the trophy and investing huge sums to get it, Zidane would be the ideal choice.
Cassano’s words are certainly very interesting if they are true. However, the Argentine coach has done decently well so far and if he can actually win Europe’s most valuable trophy, he will shut the mouths of all the doubters.
