Plzeň is guaranteed Europa League! How much money has it already made?
Exactly one year ago in the summer, information about the collapse of Viktoria in Pilsen spread. The owner Adolf Šádek had money to run the club for only half a year in advance, the players were paid late. But a year later, it’s a completely different story, Viktoria is now drowning in money.
Exactly one year ago in the summer, information about the collapse of Viktoria in Pilsen spread. The owner Adolf Šádek had money to run the club for only half a year in advance, the players were paid late. But a year later, it’s a completely different story, Viktoria is now drowning in money.
Last year, Adolf Šádek was looking hard for a new owner for Viktoria Plzeň and there were some interested parties, but all the courtship failed in the end. So the experienced shibr was left on his own for the champion, and in the transfer period he took up Russian roulette.
Despite a limited budget, he brought in quite a few reinforcements to get Viktoria to the cups, where it would pay off. And that gamble worked out brilliantly for him. After advancing past HJK Helsinki, Plzen also knocked out Sheriff Tiraspol and is now assured of at least the Europa League.
And it can be even better, because the LM playoffs are playable. Viktoria will also face Karabakh in the dream millionaire competition, which is an unpleasant opponent, but not unbeatable.
How much has Pilsen already earned?
Advancing to the Champions League play-offs – 5 million euros (122 million crowns)
Certain Europa League group stage – €3.63 million (88.94 million crowns)
Total – 8.63 million euros (211 million crowns)
But that’s not all. The aforementioned remunerations do not yet include the income from the 10-year coefficient and the TV rights. And more money will be available for Viktoria for the points earned in the regular season.
Rewards in the cups

Group participation – 383 million crowns
Group win – 68 million crowns
