Plzeň has narrowed down the opponents for the lot. Sparta’s executioner, Scotland or the scarecrow from Turkey are in the game

Viktoria Plzeň have narrowed down their possible opponents for the third round of the Conference Europa League. Seven teams from Turkey, Wales, Ireland, Luxembourg, Sweden, Scotland and Lithuania are in the running.
On Monday, not only Slavia and Jablonec, but also Plzen and Slovácko will learn their opponents for the third preliminary round, but of course they must first advance through the second preliminary round.
In the preliminary rounds, matches are divided into certain groups to make the draw easier and to prevent teams from the same country and Ukrainian clubs from running into Russian ones.
As the seeded team, Viktoria Plzeň have a great chance to face a very playable opponent. If they advance, they will face either the winner of the double-header Häcken (Sweden) vs. Aberdeen (Scotland) or Žilgiris (Lithuania) vs. The New Saints (Wales).
There’s also the Luxembourg-Irish pairing of Dudelange vs. Bohemian and then one seriously nasty opponent. It is Trabzonspor, the third team of the last season of the Turkish league.
That Trabzonspor is the toughest option needs no further elaboration, but who is the easiest? Certainly one of the trio of Bohemian, Zilgiris, The New Saints, but of course all these teams have to make it through the second preliminary round first.
A clash with Scottish Aberdeen or Häcken, who ignominiously knocked Sparta out of the Europa League eight years ago, could be interesting.
