The current state of Manchester United is far from ideal. And after the 0:5 league drubbing by Liverpool, there are growing calls for the dismissal of coach Solskjaer. But club legend Wayne Rooney sees the biggest fault in the players themselves.

Manchester United suffered a huge embarrassment last weekend when they lost 0:5 to Liverpool. It was all over after the first half, which United lost 0:4. Pogba, who received a red card in the second half, confirmed his team’s failure with a senseless tackle.

After this game, the voices for the dismissal of coach Solskjaer were again stronger. The fans and the club’s management imagined a better performance from the team than the current seventh place in the Premier League table.

But is Solskjaer to blame for the poor results? According to United legend Wayne Rooney, it is not, he blames the players themselves for not giving their all in the games.

“I notice that most players don’t want to come back, don’t want to defend and give their all for their club. That is unacceptable,” Rooney said of the lack of commitment from some players.

“Players should reflect on themselves. Themanager always gets criticism,” Rooney defends United’s coach.

Even Solskjaer has withstood this major setback and the club’s management expresses its confidence in him. But it cannot be boundless. The coach and his team have the opportunity to make amends for their hesitation in the next game against Tottenham. The game will be played on Saturday at the Spurs stadium.
