Play in the Premier League? It’s my dream, says Osimhen. The Napoli star is being linked with a move to England
Victor Osimhen, like his Napoli, is having a wonderful season. So it is understandable that the current top scorer of Serie A will be in the sights of European big clubs. At the moment, Premier League clubs are interested in his services, especially Chelsea and Manchester United.
Victor Osimhen, like his Napoli, is having a wonderful season. So it is understandable that the current top scorer of Serie A will be in the sights of European big clubs. At the moment, Premier League clubs are interested in his services, especially Chelsea and Manchester United.
The first ever appearance in the Champions League quarter-finals, the Scudetto is almost within Naples’ reach. In short, the Partenopei are simply on a roll in the current season.
Two names in particular are absolutely key to Napoli’s line-up at the moment – Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The former has already scored 21 league goals and is clearly the top scorer in Serie A.
Understandably so, there is interest in him, but as it has already been said from the current first unit of the Italian top flight, those interested will have to prepare 140 to 150 million euros.
But who could pay such a large sum. For football fans, especially after the winter transfer period, one club probably comes to mind.
Yes, because, as the latest speculations say, the twenty-four-year-old Nigerian forward is wanted by Chelsea of London.
Notably, Manchester United are also interested in Osimhen, with Arsenal and Newcastle also keeping a close eye on him. But as we write above, the deciding factor in this potential transfer will be the amount of money released from the club’s coffers.
Moreover, neither Napoli nor the player himself will be in any hurry to move to the Premier League or any other competition. He is very happy in Naples, the fans love him, Italy is simply a perfect fit for him. He has signed a contract until the end of June 2025.
So the question is whether Osimhen will not only keep it under Vesuvius, but maybe he won’t leave in the summer. After all – a Premier League engagement is his big dream.
“I am working hard to fulfil my dream of playing in the Premier League one day. But like I said, I just want to keep going at this pace to continue to do well,” Osimhen said in an interview with The Athletic.
