PL Round 11: Soucek and Coufal at Anfield, Tottenham go to Old Trafford

A week without European cups will be spiced up with an inserted Premier League round. The main showpiece, Arsenal’s match with Manchester City, is postponed as the Gunners finish their Europa League match with PSV Eindhoven. What other matches not to miss?

Liverpool vs. West Ham

Liverpool shocked English fans with a surprise triumph over Manchester City at the weekend, yet they are only eighth in the table. They are six points behind the Top 4 and cannot afford to falter at home against West Ham.

The Hammers are two points worse off, in the last round they didn’t take advantage of the pressure in the second half and only drew at Southampton. The players are definitely not in an ideal frame of mind, but reinforcements Lucas Paqueta and Gianluca Scamacca have definitely sour the squad.

Manchester United vs. Tottenham

Manchester may have picked themselves up after a horror start to the season, but they were happy to defend a goalless draw at home to Newcastle at the weekend. The defence is working well but the attack is creaking, especially with the blanket on Cristiano Ronaldo.

Tottenham, on the other hand, maintain a high standard on both sides of the pitch. Both Harry Kane and Heung Min Son are catching the spit, and the defence is also clicking under Antonio Conte. Spurs are the visitors, yet paradoxically they may be the favourites at Old Trafford.

Leicester vs. Leeds

Two seasons ago a match for seventh place, now for salvation. The Foxes didn’t convert significant pressure against Crystal Palace into a goal at the weekend and remain second to last after a goalless draw. Leeds have four more points and are sixteenth.

Leicester would normally be favourites, but without the sidelined James Maddison they will have a tough time. Moreover, Leeds showed against Arsenal and Chelsea that they can outplay stronger opponents than the struggling Foxes.
