Pirate rejected Oktagon Game Changer! I’ve already told myself I don’t want to do 77 very much. The draining wouldn’t be easy, he admitted
Oktagon has prepared a revolutionary Tipsport Game Changer for next year. In it, the organization’s elite will compete in the under 77kg division along with other European fighters. Now, one name is certain that has decided not to accept the tempting offer.
From the Octagon, we will see Patrik Kinceloe, David Kozma or his conqueror Kaiko Brito wrestling in it. The names from the organization will be eight in total, the other half should be made up of the rest of Europe.
However, one name is already known who decided not to join. That fighter is Samuel Kristofich, who now fights at middleweight and no longer wants to lose.
“I’m probably the only one who refused, according to what Ondra said, because of the fact that he’s 77. I’ve already told myself that I don’t want to do 77 very much. Especially when the fights are two and a half months apart, so draining it wouldn’t be easy.
It’s not fun to drain to 77. And when I did the math that I’d make less than I would for a classic in 84 where I’d go on to the title, I decided to turn down the Game Changer and focus on 84.
When I see the promos and the names, of course I’m tempted. Wrestling the best would be very interesting for me,” he said on his YouTube channel.
Even without him, though, the card is still pretty much unbeaten. Kozma was the favourite when the announcement was made, but after a virtually certain defeat to the Brit, the Brazilian has stepped into the role.
However, Kincl and others who may surprise are definitely respectable. We can look forward to the first Game Changer in March, the opening tournament will be held in Ostrava.
