Viktor Pešta failed to win his first fight in the American PFL organization, Russian Omari Akhmedov was over his strength and the Czech fighter ended up on the ground after a KO. What did he say about his tough loss after the fight?

Viktor Peshta became the Octagon organization’s welterweight champion in the fall when he defeated Stephan Putz. He hasn’t had a fight since then, plus his contract has expired in the Octagon.

He did not accept the extension and embarked on a more troubled journey when he accepted the PFL offer. It was clear that the opponents would be tougher, as the Czech fighter found out on his debut.

He went down in the first round and was awarded a hard KO by Russian Omari Akhmedov, the first KO for Peshta since he fought under the UFC banner.

What did he say after his failed debut? “I have to admit that this is not exactly how I imagined my debut. Congratulations to my opponent Akhmed, he was simply the better fighter yesterday. Thank you all for the messages and sorry for not answering much.

Physically I’m fine. Ego suffered a lot more, but that’s the way it goes in this sport. They say even a fall on the mouth is a forward movement and I too believe I will learn from this fight and come back stronger, ” he said on his Instagram.

It’s a minor setback for Peshta, but he still has a chance to make the playoffs and thus win the million dollars he would surely love to get.
