At the age of thirty-one, he became the Polish Ekstraklasa champion! Tomáš Petrášek won the league with Raków Częstochowa ahead of schedule, thus ending a beautiful stage of his career. He has achieved a lot in the team, but now it is time to leave. Hedid not agree on a contract renewal, which he also discussed in an interview with iSport Premium.

In the summer of 2016, he left as a free agent after ending up in Hradec Kralove for Raków in Poland. He was playing in the third league at the time and helped them to promotion in the first season.

This was followed by seventh place in the second league and promotion to the elite the next season. In short, a beautiful story that was far from over. He went on to win the cup twice more with Raków and now even the league!

This was the final stage of a wonderful career. As Petrášek admitted in an interview with iSport Premium, the club did not agree on a contract extension.

“How can I say it? I guess like this, the discount on Petrasek is over. They know what kind of player I am, what it would cost them in the next seasons. Admittedly I was injured so maybe they feel they could do without me, on the other hand they know it won’t be easy.

I’m sure I’ve given the team strength in times of need, in tough games. They know I have added value as a leader and captain,” he said.

What’s next? That is in the stars as the season is still not over. There are still three games left, but the lead is currently already eleven points, so the fans can already celebrate.

Petrasek also talked about his future career ideas and possible offers from the Czech Republic, which he would undoubtedly consider.
