This year, she managed to dominate the event in Lausanne, Switzerland, where she defeated Olga Danilovic in the final. She also did well in the last two tournaments, where she scored the scalps of Badosa and Pliskova.

Her favourite surface is clay, where she managed to win 75% of her matches (15 wins and 5 losses) in the current calendar year. However, she can also perform well on hard surfaces, as evidenced by her quarter-final performance at Indian Wells.

Her opponent on Tuesday will be Linda Fruhvirtová, only 17 years old, representing the Czech Republic. Thanks to her triumph in Chennai, India, she is already 77th on the WTA rankings, which is a great position considering her age.

One of the biggest Czech tennis hopes prefers the hard surface, which is also played on in Monastir, Tunisia. This year, the player born in 2005 scored scalps against Azarenka and Mertens.

If Linda Fruhvirt can put in one of her better performances, she can definitely think about advancing. Her opponent, however, presents a more balanced performance and will deservedly enter the match as a favorite.
