The charity auction of sports valuables was organized by the Brno company Prokonzulta. She approached several athletes with the request and managed to get very interesting pieces.
The most valuable of them was the racket of the Czech double Wimbledon winner Petra Kvitová. It sold for a beautiful 60 thousand crowns.
“It was the most popular item and the amount for it far exceeded the amount auctioned for other items,” Josef Machů, the auction organiser, told the Czech News Agency .
But Petra Kvitová’s racket was not the only auction item. Those interested could buy, for example, the vests of shooters Jiří Lipták and David Kostelecky, the starting numbers of Czech biathletes or a basketball with the signatures of Žabin basketball players.
Items were not only related to active athletes, but it was also possible to auction off the jersey of triple jumper Šarka Kašpárková, the jersey of hockey player Petr Hubáček or the jersey of Petr Rada.
The total proceeds of the auction amounted to almost 100 thousand crowns. Prokonzulta decided to donate this amount to Ukrainian children affected by the Russian invasion.
