Is Benjamin Pavard on his way to Inter? According to a Sky Sport Deutschland reporter, the Milan giant has reached an agreement with the French international, with a potential transfer fee of around €30 million. However, Bayern’s management will reportedly want more.
Benjamin Pavard is still under contract at Bayern for one more year, however, he has been linked with a move elsewhere since the start of the summer transfer window. Several clubs have understandably expressed interest in his services, including Inter.
According to the latest information, the Milan giant has submitted an official offer to Bayern, according to which the Nerazzurri would like to bring Pavard for a sum of around €30 million.
And although the champion of the German top flight last season has not yet officially rejected the offer, according to Sky Sport Deutschland reporter Florian Plettenberg, the Bavarian big club’s management will want more.
According to earlier reports, Bayern would reportedly settle for between thirty-five and forty million euros. Which, given that Pavard is clearly the number one priority for Inter in terms of the availability of quality defenders on the market, is not much indeed.
The 27-year-old Frenchman has already informed Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen of his desire to leave the club in the summer, and now coach Thomas Tuchel has also been informed of the situation.
Pavard at Bayern…
Pavard moved to the Munich club in July 2019 when Bayern bought him from Stuttgart for €35 million. The native of the French town of Maubeuge was almost immediately included in the starting line-up.
During that time, Pavard played 163 competitive matches for Bayern. In them he scored twelve goals and twelve assists, received twenty-two yellow cards and only one red card.
And as for the list of trophies won? Four Bundesliga titles, a Champions League championship, a DFB-Pokal or UEFA Super Cup winner and a UEFA Club World Cup winner – a very solid record indeed.
