Pastrňák swapped his hockey stick for a golf club and shot accurately again! This is how he entertained the crowd during the exhibition on the Vltava River

The traditional D+D Real Czech Masters golf tournament, which is part of the PGA European Tour, will take place this week at the Albatross Golf Resort near Beroun.

Part of the accompanying programme is a pre-tournament demonstration in the centre of Prague on the Vltava River, where star players as well as guests of honour try to hit a hole about 12 metres away on a floating pontoon that simulates a green. David Pastrňák took part in this very event this year.

The Czech hockey forward, who plays in the NHL for the Boston Bruins, showed that he is no stranger to the golf club. He got two shots in the group tournament, the very first one almost ended up in the hole. Actually, he did, but unfortunately for him, it bounced out.

However, even the second shot would have passed fairly strict parameters as it ended up some 30 centimetres from the hole. He ended up earning five points for his “Pasta Team”, which ended up tied for third place.

“Ireally like it here. I’ve never been a part of an event like this. It was nice to chip like this on the water and I’m glad I hit it at least once,” the hockey superstar told TV Nova on the banks of the Vltava River on Tuesday afternoon.

The 26-year-old bronze medallist from the last World Championships in Finland is currently preparing for the new season. His contract with Boston is still valid for another season, so he will most likely deal with his future in the near future.

But according to him, he is not thinking about it that much yet. The number one goal is to be 100% ready for the start of next season.
