The Octagon champion made it to Dana White’s Contender Series show, where she could have fought for a contract in the best organization in the world. She dominated the fight, but the head of the UFC decided that she would not get the contract.
The main reason was that he wanted Theresa Pale to gain more experience. However, the day after the fight, an offer from the UFC landed on the table. Coach André Reinders told Sport.cz.
“The day after Contender, Tereza got an offer for a short notice for the UFC tournament. But it was a weight above and about a fortnight before, so we turned it down,” the popular coach let us hear.
The 20-year-old fighter is currently 27th in the world rankings at her weight, with more or less only UFC stars around her. So it’s not out of the question that another offer could come later this year.
“It’s a question of one fight at most, maybe not even that,” Reinders did not please the Octagon organization with his statement.
It is with Octagon that Pale is now in talks regarding a title defense. The question is whether it will happen this year. However, the Czech fighter’s tenure in the UFC looks as promising as possible!
