Both SK Slavia Praha and 1. FC Slovácko have successfully passed the preliminary rounds of the Conference Europa League and can look forward to the regular group.
The Slavs first eliminated St. Joseph’s in their journey through the Conference League Preliminary Rounds, with an overall score of 11::0 (4::0, 7::0). After that, Jindřich Trpišovský’s charges also beat Panathinaikos (2: 0, 1: 1), after which Slavia’s biggest problems were obviously caused by Raków from Poland.
They lost 1:2, but they gave a solid team performance at home and outplayed Raków, especially in the second half. The decisive goal was scored by Ivan Schranz in the 120th minute. The Prague team can now look forward to the group stage.
Prague team will face CFR Cluj, Sivasspor and Kosovo team FC Ballkani in group G. The group stage of the Conference League will kick off on Thursday, September 8, with Slavia starting with a match at Sivasspor’s ground at 9 pm.
A week later, Slavia will host FC Ballkani at home from 18:45, and on 6 October at 21:00, Susians will play another home game, this time against Romanian side Cluj. The return matches will be played on 13 October, 27 October and 3 November against Cluj, Ballkani and Sivasspor.
Slovácko has been knocked out of the Europa League so far in the European Cups, as it failed to beat Fenerbahce in the preliminary round (0::3, 1::1). The club near Uherské Hradiště thus travelled to the last preliminary round of the Europa Conference League, where they faced AIK Stockholm.
And after the 3::0 and 1::0 results, like Slavia, they can look forward to the group stage, where Slovácko will have their work cut out for them. In Group D, Slovácko will face Partizan, Nice and Cologne.
The Moravian team will of course also start on 8 September with a home match against Partizan (18:45). A week later, Slovácko will travel to Cologne (21:00), and on 6 October Slovácko will welcome OGC Nice.
Martin Svedik’s team will play their return matches on the same date as Slavia and the other teams, against Nice, Cologne and Partizan.
