The absolutely disgusting behaviour of English fans occurred after the Euro final, when Italy beat England in a penalty shootout to become European champions. However, the Formula 1 driver, Lando Norris, was robbed by his countrymen. What is his team’s statement and what very valuable things were stolen from him?
Lando Norris, a twenty-one-year-old McLaren driver, was another of the famous sports personalities tempted by the European football championship final. But on leaving the stadium, he unwittingly became a participant in the post-match activities of England fans.
The native of Glastonbury, which lies some forty kilometres south of Bristol, was de facto assaulted and robbed by his fellow England fans.
Norris had his watch stolen, but it is a very valuable watch indeed. It was a limited edition Richard Mille in blue and orange, which is the team colours of McLaren. The culprit has undoubtedly committed a crime, as this watch is worth more than USD 100 000!
Converted into Czech crowns, this is a sum of more than two million crowns. ” McLaren Racing can confirm that Lando Norris was involved in an incident after the Euro 2020 final match at Wembley in which the watch on his wrist was stolen.”
“Luckily, Lando is unharmed, but he is understandably shaken. The team supports Lando and we are sure that motorsport fans will join us in wishing him all the best for this weekend’s British Grand Prix. As this is now a police matter, we cannot comment further.”
There was no shortage of racist chants from English fans at their players or scuffles with police. It is confirmed that 49 people have been arrested by the police and nineteen officers have been injured. All of this will of course be followed up. And as we can probably expect, the authorities in England are certainly not going to coddle the troublesome fans.
