Slavia’s journey through the Conference Europa League is over as they fell at home to Feyenoord and can now focus on the tough battle for the Czech top flight title. What did Taras Kacharaba say after the duel with the Dutch team?
Feyenoord did not perform better than Slavia in Eden, but they are still happy to advance to the semi-finals of the Europa League. The result 1::3 is quite harsh for Slavia.
However, it was due to individual mistakes, which we could see in all the goals in the match. The first one is due to the stopper duo, especially Taras Kacharab, who performed badly.
The fans didn’t like the performance of the stopper and Maksym Talovjerov, but the second goal and partly the third one is due to goalkeeper Ales Mandous.
“I don’t want to say that we lost because of the second goal. It’s football. We made a mistake in the first half because of communication and it doesn’t go behind any player, we are just a team and we are all responsible for that. We have to learn from it, it’s a good school for us,” Kacharaba said in a post-match interview.
Afterwards, the Slavia stopper spoke about his team’s journey through Europe. The Sešiovans put in an excellent performance and certainly have nothing to be ashamed of.
“It was a fantastic journey for me. Last year I played with Liberec in the European Cups and it was great. In Slavia it’s fantastic, when the stadium is full, the fans drive us forward. It’s great to play with a team like that, I’ll remember it all my life.
But our journey doesn’t end, we have a league to master. And get ready for next year. Our goal is to finish first in the league and fight like Slavia fights every year,” he added.
