Portuguese Otávio is leaving Porto after nine long years and moving to a club that has already acquired a number of great players in this year’s transfer window.

During the summer, Al-Nassr signed Marcel Brozovic, Seko Fofana, Sadio Mané, Alex Telles, to name a few, and now Otávio is expanding the list of summer reinforcements. He will also meet his compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo in the cabin, but he headed to Saudi Arabia earlier.

The Saudi Arabian club will send €60 million to Porto for their new signing, as reported by beIN Sports. Portuguese server A Bola reports that the Saudis will pay this amount in three instalments of 20 million.

Also according to this newspaper, Otávio should earn 42 million euros in three years in his new job. In the first year, the Portuguese international is to receive 13 million, in the second 14 and in the last year of his contract 15.

“I leave here very satisfied. I’m happy for what I’ve done here, what I’ve gained here and that I’m transferring at a time when it’s good for both of us. The time has come to leave, but my heart will always be here,” said Otávio in an interview with Porta’s club website and social networks.

“I remember all the titles I won here. It’s hard to leave the club after nine years, they treated me well here and everyone loved me as much as I loved them. But it’s a circle of life,” he adds.

Otávio in Porto…

Otávio moved to Porto at the beginning of September 2014, from Brazilian side Internacional for just €2.5 million. Since then, he has played 283 competitive games for Porto, scoring 31 goals and 75 assists.

The twenty-eight year old has enjoyed three championship titles with the Portuguese club, lifted the domestic cup winner’s trophy three times and won the Portuguese League Cup once.
