Will Victor Osimhen leave Naples? This is a question that is on the minds of many world football experts, as well as the fans themselves. Earlier, the Nigerian striker was linked with PSG, which is reportedly preparing for the departure of Kylian Mbappé. But now, according to Italian media, Napoli are facing interest from Al Hilal.
A number of players have already headed to Saudi Arabia in this transfer window, whereupon the list of names that have left Europe includes some really big stars.
The most recent to leave European territory was Sadio Mané, who headed to Al-Nasser. The Saudi Arabian club also lured Marcel Brozovic, Seko Fofana and Alex Telles, among others.
Another club, Al Ahli, have acquired Riyad Mahrez, and now former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has moved to Al-Ettifaq. And now Napoli star Victor Osimhen is also on the radar of Saudi Arabian clubs, specifically Al Hilal.
The Nigerian goal-killer was recently linked with a move to PSG, with the French club reportedly already preparing for the departure of Kylian Mbappé, with Osimhen being one of the priorities as a replacement for the departing superstar.
However, the Partenopei want to keep their star, while still working on a new contract. And as club president Aurelio de Laurentiis has previously stated, Napoli value Osimhen at up to €180 million.
Offer brushed off…
According to Tuttomercatoweb, it is Al Hilal who are interested in the services of the Lagos native. The Saudi Arabian outfit reportedly approached Naples with an offer of €130 million, but it was rather quickly swept off the table.
Moreover, it is difficult to determine how much these speculations meet reality. Indeed, Il Mattino, the portal that originally came up with this information, also recently reported that Osimhen had turned down a contract extension. His agent Roberto Calenda, however, called it “false news”.
“I read in Il Mattino that Osimhen does not intend to extend his contract in the summer and that he wants to explore all the options on the market first. This is fake news,” Calenda responded on Twitter.
