Ons Jabeur vs. Naomi Osaka: Preview and betting tips

The third round of the Australian Open is around the corner and fans can look forward to Ons Jabeur’s battle with Naomi Osaka. There is no need to write anything about the favourite. But what to bet on?

Ons Jabeur is doing great so far in her first grand slam of the year. She didn’t exactly put in a dominant performance in the first round, but still beat Petkovic after a three-set battle. In the second round she convincingly swept Schmiedlova in two sets 6:3 and 6:2.

But now she has a huge challenge ahead of her. Naomi Osaka, the world number three, is doing great. She’s been going through the tournament like a sharp knife through hot butter.

In one hour and ten minutes, she beat Pavlyuchenkova 6:1 and 6:2, then even faster against Garcia 6:2, 6:3.

It can be expected that her run at least into the second week of the Australian Open will continue in a similar vein. According to the bookmakers, Osaka is the main favourite to win the whole tournament.

For that reason alone, she should beat Jabeur. However, betting on Osaka to win on her own is not going to pay off. Better to add the number of games in the match.
