It’s hard to judge which individual performance is the best in Premier League history. However, Arsenal fans have revisited Mesut Özil’s galloping performance against Leicester in 2018 in the “cucumber season”.

No one can dispute that Mesut Özil was a generational talent. His playmaking mindset and brilliant passing was matched by few, and when he had his day, he was unstoppable.

Even his own teammates were shocked by some of his actions or performances. Sure, his performance declined tremendously later in his career, but that doesn’t change the fact that in his peak form he was one of the best playmakers in the world.

He then moved on to Arsenal, where he never stopped shining. For Gunners fans, the German magician was an idol for a long time before his controversial end came. However, this did nothing to tarnish the memories of Arsenal supporters of Özil. And they love to remember his performances.
