One bad result and PSG backs down? Mbappé is officially back in the squad
PSG decided in the summer to put the club first. Kylian Mbappé was given an ultimatum and decided not to sign a new contract, which caused him to be dropped from the squad. Stars such as Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos have left the team, with other sales also in play. However, the Frenchman is surprisingly back in the team.

Another season with a star team, another failure in the Champions League. Neither Lionel Messi or Sergio Ramos were suitable additions. Not that it’s their fault, it can’t be said. Not even the best footballers in the world can save an unbalanced team, there are more examples from the past.
It was no wonder then that PSG made a change before the new season. At least seemingly. Messi is gone, Ramos is also gone, Neymar is on his way out, Marco Verratti is also set to move. To make matters worse, Kylian Mbappé has been dropped from the squad.
The reason was simple. He refused to sign a new contract and threatened to leave for free in a year. The club believes that the French gem is already agreed on a contract at Real Madrid, he wants to address this through legal action as well.
PSG even offered Mbappé for sale and accepted a very generous offer from Saudi Arabia, only for the player himself to reject the transfer. He was determined to spend the whole season out of the squad rather than play a year in Saudi Arabia.
But on Sunday morning, the day after PSG’s first league game, something broke. The Parisians couldn’t beat a mediocre Lorient in the first round, and although they dominated on the ball, they looked completely toothless on offense.
The match ended 0:0, PSG couldn’t create any big chances. How such a Mbappé could possibly fit in must have been on the minds of all the fans and members of the club’s management. And clearly it was.
For the club announced that Mbappé was coming back to the first team. This is all said to be due to the constructive and positive negotiations between PSG and the French star before the Lorient game.
But what does this mean? That Mbappé would be willing to sign a new contract? That remains to be seen. But it will definitely be a reinforcement on the pitch.
