Olayinka was on a rampage in a CZ Belgrade jersey! He scored two goals and added an assist against Fiorentina, the Serbian giant won 5:0
Serbian football is underrated in a way. When Peter Olayinka said after signing a contract with CZ Belgrade that he had taken a step forward in his career, many in the Czech Republic tapped their foreheads. However, at least in preparation, the former Slavia Prague star is doing well, and so is his team.

The underrated Serbian league is the 11th best in Europe according to the coefficient, so it is doing better than our Fortuna League. Especially the Belgrade giants have very good financial possibilities and playing in Serbia can be an interesting option for footballers and fans.
So when Peter Olayinka said after his official introduction at the new club that he had taken a step forward, he was not far from the truth. Quite the opposite, although he certainly could have taken a bigger step earlier in his career.
And that the former Slavia footballer made the right choice has been confirmed in training so far. The 27-year-old Nigerian international started his fifth game on Wednesday night and put in a fantastic performance, just like CZ Belgrade.
In fact, the Serbian giant took on Fiorentina, a participant in last season’s Conference final and also a finalist in the Italian Cup. After 26 minutes, Belgrade was already 5:0 up and the score did not change.
Olayinka was a big part of that, scoring two goals and adding an assist.
However, it is worth mentioning that Olayinka had already scored in the previous game against TSC, the second team of the Serbian league last season, and had a goal and an assist in the 3:1 win against Turkish giant Fenerbahce.
CZ Belgrade has been 100 percent in its preparation so far, beating Zenit St. Petersburg, for example, against whom Olayinka was not in the line-up. So it seems that this traditional club could enjoy winning the league title again.
