Olayinka started for Nigeria, who dominated their group without losing a point

Nigeria also won their third Africa Cup of Nations group match, this time beating Guinea-Bissau 2-0. Peter Olayinka, a player from Slavia, played more than half an hour.

Nigeria at the African Cup of Nations has so far confirmed its role as one of the favourites of the tournament. In the first match, it defeated Egypt and it was almost certain that it would not miss the play-offs.

Egypt were the second team to advance from the group, winning both of their remaining matches since the defeat to Nigeria, although only 1-0 each time.

The tournament has so far been without major problems, but it has also offered a few surprises. Ghana won only one point in three matches and thus bid farewell to the tournament, while Algeria is also close to the end, having also won only one point after two matches.
