It’s right here. Jude Bellingham, today’s brightest teenager, has a new club. He will move from Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid, who will pay 100 million euros for him.

It was clear that Bellingham wouldn’t last long at Dortmund. He had outgrown the club, become captain and leader and it was clear to everyone that he would be moving to a bigger club in the summer.

The question was where. Logically, there was a lot of interest in the English super-talent at home in the Premier League, and a lot of desire for him at Manchester City and Liverpool.

But Bellingham ultimately chose a different path. He chose La Liga, specifically Real Madrid.

Borussia Dortmund have already announced Bellingham’s transfer on their website. The transfer fee is 103 million euros + bonuses.

“The player Jude Bellingham is transferring from Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid C.F. The parties have reached an agreement on this transfer today. Now it remains to agree and document the contractual details,” Dortmund informs on its website.

“Real Madrid will pay BVB a fixed transfer fee of €103.0 million upon completion of the transfer. In addition, a variable transfer fee has been agreed up to a maximum total of approximately 30% of the fixed transfer fee,” Borussia adds.

Bellingham will sign a six-year contract in Madrid until 2029 and should become the successor to Modric and Kroos and therefore the leader of a new era. He will be competing with Eduardo Camavinga, Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni in the centre of midfield.

the 19-year-old is expected to undergo a medical in the coming days and the transfer should be completed by the end of the week.

English players don’t go abroad much, but Bellingham has a role model at Real Madrid. David Beckham also headed to the Spanish capital as a midfielder in 2003 and lasted four years there.

Moreover, Bellingham could also be a teammate of the national team. In fact, after Karim Benzema’s departure, there is speculation that Real Madrid should bring in Harry Kane.
