Odegaard has one foot in Arsenal. Will Norwegian talent lift the fading Gunners?

Martin Odegaard hasn’t had an easy time of it lately as he has been plagued by frequent injuries and once again has failed to convince the coaches at Real Madrid that he deserves his place in the team. He therefore spent the second half of the season at Arsenal, where Fabrizio Romano says he is set to return for this season.
All in all, the Norwegian talent played 29 games last season, which wouldn’t be a bad number in itself, but in terms of minutes, it’s considerably weaker.
1,657 minutes, that’s the number Odegaard managed to rack up. Frequent injuries are also to blame, although it was nothing serious, but frequent absences for 2-3 games made it impossible for him to let his talent shine through.
That’s also why Zinedine Zidane decided to let him leave for England, where he was welcomed with open arms by Mikel Arteta. And he shouldn’t, since he is missing just such a player. The Spanish coach has only Emil Smith Rowe, who is even younger and less experienced, at his disposal for the number ten position.
So Odegaard would be a really big boost for the stagnant Arsenal! The London club has been interested in the Norwegian midfielder for a long time. But Real Madrid, with whom he has a contract until 2023, does not want to sell him!
No wonder, Odegaard is a great talent who could be a very good offensive midfielder in 2-3 years, which sooner or later the White Ballet will definitely need.
Meanwhile, the currently 22-year-old Norwegian came to Madrid back in 2015. Since then, he has been on loan at Heerenveen, Vitesse, Real Sociedad (where he has been really successful) and most recently at the aforementioned Arsenal.
According to Roman, the Gunners management is offering a sum of around 40 million euros. The player himself should then be in favour of the offer. It’s no wonder, after spending 6 years on loan at various clubs, he certainly wants a solid place.
Everything should be sorted out in the next few days, according to an Italian journalist. What is certain, however, is that Arsenal will do a lot to get the Norwegian midfielder, as the first game suggested that things are not looking good at all for the Gunners.
“I’m losing interest in Arsenal. Arsenal is no longer an attractive club. Who would want to play for them?” Emmanuel Petit told RMC Sport.
In addition, Arsenal will face Chelsea and Manchester City in the next two league rounds.
