Numerous sickies? I don’t understand. Sometimes maybe we think too much that we are injured and need to recover, says Vrba
It’s repeated all the time, nobody knows the solution. Sparta is once again struggling with a large squad, which includes several players, including Ladislav Krejci Jr., who is a key player in Sparta’s starting lineup. What did coach Pavel Vrba say about the squad?
It’s repeated all the time, nobody knows the solution. Sparta is once again struggling with a large squad that includes several players, including Ladislav Krejci Jr., who is a key player in Sparta’s starting lineup. What did coach Pavel Vrba say about the squad?
At the end of the winter preparation it looked positive, but as time went by, players started to drop out, as usual. Several players who would not otherwise be missing from the starting line-up are on the sick list again.
The most important player is Ladislav Krejci Jr., who played last time in the derby, where he was one of the best players, after that we didn’t see him on the pitch anymore.
The injury shouldn’t be serious, but the Spartans are worried because something can always go wrong. How does coach Pavel Vrba see the absence?
“I don’t understand why we have injured players. I can’t answer that. We have a very high level of security. Sometimes maybe we think too much that we are injured and we have to recover.
Sometimes maybe it’s about the players’ heads. They themselves have to know if it’s so serious that they can’t play or if it’s something they can play with. I can’t answer that,” he said in an interview with the club’s website.
Fans want the squad to be strengthened because of the big turnover and especially the poor performances. That could still come, as there are still a few days left in the Czech Republic’s transfer window, but even the most optimistic fans don’t expect to see reinforcements.
“We don’t have any players in the pipeline at the moment,” Vrba said in an interview. This sentence pleased perhaps only fans of the competition.
