Hamilton is one of the biggest figures, and not just in Formula 1 or motorsport. He is also the highest paid British sportsman today, currently earning around £40 million a year.
In short, the Mercedes driver can afford a lot thanks to his salary. For example, a truly impressive collection of luxury cars.
His most-used marque is, of course, Mercedes. He owns four cars from the German manufacturer. The first is the Mercedes-AMG Project One, which is not due to be launched until next year. It is currently estimated to cost around £2 million.
Only 274 of this type of car are to be released into the world! However, he sees the Mercedes-AMG SLS, which starts at just £230,000, as the ideal race car.
In addition to these sleek, luxurious supercars, he also bought a Mercedes Maybach 6 in 2012 to go with the Maybach S600 he already owned. Together, these cars are worth £800,000.
His other claim to fame is a 1967 Shelby Ford Mustang GT500. This beauty fetched £750,000 at auction, but how much Hamilton paid for it is unknown.
However, his collection continues with other beautiful and luxurious cars – a Pagani Zonda 760 LH cost him £1.6 million. A 1996 Shelby 427 Cobra is currently worth upwards of four million!
The LaFerrari, which has a top speed of 350mph, is priced at around one million pounds. And the McLaren P1 starts at two million pounds, and we are talking about a real “rocket”. The McLaren P1 can do zero to 60 in 2.7 seconds!
But that’s not the end of the fancy list. His collection also includes motorcycles – Hamilton owns a Honda CRF450RX motocross bike, which you can get for some £6,500.
His possessions also include a Maverick X3 buggy, which will take you over even the toughest sand dunes. Its price tag? Roughly £20,000.
As we’ve already hinted above, Hamilton does indeed indulge in many things – his portfolio of property, watches and extravagant clothing, for example, is staggering. But it’s clear that expensive and luxurious cars are simply the name of the game.
